England and New Zealand are all set to face each other in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021. The two teams have been quite brilliant so far in this tournament and have each won four of their five matches. Having said that, it will be the pressure of the semi-final which they will be against. Nevertheless, it will be a good chance for fans to earn some fantasy points.

Here are three surprise picks for England vs New Zealand:

1. Mitchell Santner

The left-arm spinner might go unnoticed at times. However, he could be a crucial bowler in this game if he is used properly. Given how Kane Williamson leads his team, there is no doubt that Santner will be used effectively. He might have picked up only two wickets so far, but considering the number of right-handed batters in the England top four, Santner would be licking his lips. Apart from this, he can also add value with the bat down the order. Overall, he is always a good fantasy pick.

2. Chris Woakes

Chris Woakes is not just another seam-bowling all-rounder, he could just be one of the best in the world. He has contributed in a very good manner for his team in these conditions, which were a bit foreign. He has picked up five wickets in as many matches. In the last match, he was also able to get a chance to flex his batting muscles. On the Abu Dhabi pitch, he might be able to get the ball to swing a bit which can cause early problems for the Kiwis. Hence, including him isn’t a bad decision.

3. Moeen Ali

The all-rounder has been in brilliant form with the ball in this tournament. The pitches have suited him well and he has turned at the right time for the English team in some of these matches. In the five matches so far, he has picked up seven wickets. His strike rate has been 12, which basically means he picks up a wicket in every two overs. And, his economy has been 5.50, which is another incredible stat about his tournament. In the last game, he was able to get some time with the bat in the middle as well, and moving forward he might be seen playing a more important role.
