New Zealand, in some ways, survived a scare against Scotland but now they will be up against another associate nation, which has been on the rise. The Black Caps will take on Namibia in the Super 12 game at the Sharjah Cricket Ground on November 5. As the two teams clash against each other, it will be a good opportunity for fans to collect some fantasy points.

Here are the 3 surprise picks for the Dream11 Fantasy teams:

1. Kane Williamson

Even though he is a star player and captain of this team, there has been a dip in his form in recent times. He hasn’t made the kind of big scores, which one would expect out of him. In the last nine T20 innings, he has scored fifty-plus only once.

The slowness of these surfaces in the UAE has not allowed his fluent stroke-play to come out. However, his track record suggests that he doesn’t sit around for too long and gets a score every now and then.

2. Ish Sodhi

Ish Sodhi’s record in T20Is is quite exceptional. His strike rate with the ball is 15.8, suggesting that he picks a wicket in every 16 balls at least. He has taken six wickets in the three games of this tournament so far.

It should be noted that the pitches in the UAE pretty much suits his style of bowling. Sodhi is getting the ball to do the talking and most quality batters have struggled against him. Given this, it would be a bit of a wrong decision, if you leave him out of the XI.

3. Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton

There is not a lot of people, who may know about Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton. But the leg spinner has loads of potential on his shoulders. Against Afghanistan, he bowled a good spell and at one point, almost choked the run flow. He also ended up with two wickets in that game.

Now, there is no guarantee that he will be able to regularly perform this way, but given these pitches in the UAE, he should fancy himself to repeat such a performance. Nevertheless, if you are going to bet on some Namibian players, he won’t be a bad pick by any means.
