The final of T20 World Cup 2021 will see the Trans-Tasman rivalry as Australia and New Zealand will battle it out in the summit clash. The crucial encounter takes place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday (November 14). Interestingly, neither of the two teams stepped into the tournament as favourites. However, they played some quality cricket and made a place in the finals.

Speaking of New Zealand’s campaign, they didn’t start off well and suffered a five-wicket defeat against Pakistan in the opening clash.  However, the Kiwis bounced back and comprehensively won their remaining games in the league stage. They met the mighty England side in the semi-finals and looked on back foot for majority of the contest. However, some sensational hitting from Daryl Mitchell took New Zealand home.

As far as the Aussies are concerned, they also performed exceptionally well in the league stage besides an eight-wicket defeat against arch-rivals England. They met Pakistan in the semi-final and some quality cricket was on display. David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, and Matthew Wade particularly played some delightful shots and took Aussies to a five-wicket win.
