South Africa and Australia will set the stage for the first Super 12 game of the T20 World Cup 2021 at Abu Dhabi. Talking of both the teams at the current moment, Australia have not had a great time in the given format in their last two series against Bangladesh and West Indies. Though they have absolutely dominated the 50-over World Cups over the years, they are yet to bag a title in the T20 WC.

Adding to their woes, Kangaroos also lost the warm-up game against India. On the other hand, Proteas have not been able to end their jinx of bagging an ICC Trophy and this tournament might just be their rightful chance. They will be entering the tournament with a lot of confidence under their belt after winning bilateral series against Ireland, Sri Lanka, and West Indies.

Moreover, Temba Bavuma and his army won both their warm-up games recently and it will be a thing to see how they step in the big games from now on. They do have match-winners in all the departments of the game.

Playing Combinations for Australia and South Africa

Australia

Talking about playing XI of Australia, the skipper would have to step up as he is coming after a long break from cricket owing to his injuries. A lot of eyes will be on ace batter David Warner as he has been struggling with his form with the bat whereas a lot of expectations will be pinned on in-form Glenn Maxwell. Cummins’ role will also be major and he is returning from a long break from the game.

South Africa

South Africa boasts of star players in their unit and star batter Quinton de Kock will be expected to shine in this case. Star bowlers like Tabraiz Shamsi, Anrich Nortje, and Kagiso Rabada will have prime importance in the game. Nortje is also coming on the back of great form from IPL 2021.
