New Zealand would like to continue their winning run as they take on New Zealand in their upcoming fixture in the T20 World Cup 2021. The encounter takes place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday (November 3). Having defeated India by eight wickets in their last fixture, the Kiwi team would be high on confidence and would like to get two more points under their belt. On the other hand, Scotland have lost their both matches in the Super 12 stage.
Having suffered a five-wicket defeat against Pakistan in their opening game, New Zealand didn’t start off the competition on a high note. However, they thrashed India in what was a virtual knock-out game and brought their campaign back on track. The equation is now pretty simple for the Kiwis. Victories in the remaining three games would give them a ticket to the semi-finals.
However, even one defeat can hamper their chances of going through. As far as Scotland are concerned, they entered the Super 12 stage after clearing the preliminary round. However, they lost to Afghanistan and Namibia in their first two games. Although they aren’t expected to challenge the Kiwis, the Scottish side should fight to cause a massive upset.
Meanwhile, let’s look at important stats and numbers ahead of the 32nd game of the T20 World Cup 2021:
