The current Indian Cricket side is looking stronger than ever with more talents emerging from the domestic circuit and the IPL. This is a bright sign for the future of Indian cricket since BCCI can go with the rotation policy by having their main players take rest and give the up-and-coming stars a much-needed opportunity during some bilateral series.

The T20 World Cup 2022 is also around the corner for which the board has a tough job of picking the right squad. The last year’s T20 World cup didn’t go India’s way and the selectors would keep an eye on every player’s performance in order to select the right combination which could provide balance to the team.

5. Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal has become a mainstay in the Indian Test side being regularly picked for every test series except when he suffer injuries. However, what many seem to miss is that he has improved to become a better batsman in the shortest format of the game, the result of which can be seen in the past 3-4 years of the Indian Premier League.

This year he was given an additional responsibility of leading the Punjab Kings side after KL Rahul was subsequently released and picked by the Lucknow franchise in the 2022 auctions. His batting form hasn’t been great this year compared to previous years but has still managed to score a couple of half centuries.

Mayank’s addition to the T20 World Cup squad would be perfect as he has the required amount of experience along with different shot selection which is very important in today’s modern-day cricket. He can easily fit into the lineup if any of the main openers are acquire injury or perform poorly.
