"Talent abhi Zinda hai" - Virender Sehwag on Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma was brilliant in the third T20I against England. With the help of a blistering century from Rohit, India bagged the T20I series 2-1. Rohit Sharma was unbelievable on the day as he notched up his third T20I century. With this century, Rohit equaled the record for most centuries in T20Is.

After being put into bat first, England put 198 runs on the board. Jason Roy with a 67 and Jos Buttler with a 34 got England off to a dream start. However, England failed to capitalize on this start and fell short of the par total by about 20-25 runs. Hardik Pandya picked 4 wickets in the innings. India finished the chase off quite comfortably with 7 wickets to spare. Virat Kohli with 43 runs and Hardik Pandya with 33 runs helped India do well in the chase.

After this brilliant knock, Rohit was flooded with several congratulatory messages for his innings. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag also was one among the ones who congratulated Rohit Sharma for his innings. Furthermore, he had quite a special tweet for Hitman and it was quite hilarious. Sehwag was mesmerized by Rohit’s ability to hit the ball cleanly and wished that there are many more hundreds that will come from him. Also, he praised ‘Kung-Fu’ Pandya for his all-round display on the field.

This century would mean quite a lot for Rohit Sharma. Rohit did not have a good time in the IPL this year and was facing severe criticism. But, he showed signs of good form in the Ireland series where he scored a 97. Although he missed out on his century then, Rohit ensured that he gets there in the 3rd T20I against England. Also, India would hope for him to continue the good form in the ODI series as well.
