The 2017-18 international season came to an end for Team India with a thrilling victory over Bangladesh in the final of the Nidahas Trophy. The T20 extravaganza followed and now the players are gearing up for the new season which will begin with a historic Test match against Afghanistan in Bangalore. However, the cricketers were seen in the nets with their new practice kit at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

This is not the first time the team has been presented with the new kits. Recently, during Sri Lanka tour the team had expressed its unhappiness with the quality of the kit provided by Nike who is the official kit providers of the Men in Blue.

The new practice jersey looks fresh as they have done with the blue colour it seems and this time it is a combination of the grey and orange. The pictures of the practice session are going viral on social media as the official Twitter handle of the BCCI also shared some of them.

What lies ahead?

Much like every year, the upcoming season is filled with matches for Team India. There is no respite for the cricketers even this year as they are set to play as many as 30 One-Day Internationals, 12 Tests and 21 T20Is. The season will commence with a one-off historic game against Afghanistan after which they will travel to Ireland for a couple of T20 Internationals. Then, the stern test of the Virat Kohli-led side begins as they embark on a tough England tour.

They will face the hosts in 3 ODI and as many T20Is followed by the much-awaited 5-match Test series which will begin on August 1. The home season has been shortened this time for the men in Blue as they will only host Windies for 2 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is during October and November after which they will be tested against Australia down under.
