The second leg of the 2021 IPL will get completed in October and then in less than three months, a mega auction is supposed to get scheduled for a bumper 2022 season. Since the BCCI has now further tweaked the tournament by adding two new IPL franchises, it will altogether be a new dawn and a fresh player possession cycle for all teams.

However, since the existing teams will also be allowed to retain a few players, a majority of the other top-notch cricketers will get available for the mega auction. Perhaps, this huge chunk of shedding will also mean that a few of the top graded cricketers might feel dejected ahead of the next season. Hence in this list, let’s checkout

One top bowler from each team might get released ahead of IPL 2022

1. MI- Trent Boult

Ever since his inception in the blue and gold jersey, Trent Boult has emerged out as an astounding entity for MI. Since his arrival, the kiwi pacer has scalped joint-highest wickets along with Jasprit Bumrah and individually has a pile of 27 wickets from his 22 games at an economy of 8.2. More importantly, by also being a quality new ball pacer along with a death overs specialist, Boult’s entire proposition has turned out to be a fitting one for MI. Perhaps his hounding presence at the start has also significantly reduced Bumrah’s overwhelming role in the power plays.

However, despite being such a commendable asset for the last two seasons, Boult will, unfortunately, receive a cease from his current position. The likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Kieron Pollard will be seen ahead of him in the pecking order for the upcoming potential retentions.

Also, in terms of using an RTM card if available, there are chances that maybe Suryakumar Yadav will become the ultimate choice before repurchasing anyone else. Hence, with an already brimming presence of other elite players, maybe the next seven IPL 2021 games can become Boult’s last appearances in MI’s triumphing blue and gold jersey.
