Ever since the conclusion of the second Test of the four-match series against England at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the Indian team is residing in the Hyatt Regency hotel in Ahmedabad as the newly-built Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium hosted the last two Test Tests of the series. And, both the cricketing superpowers are currently playing the five-match T20I series in the same venue.

Since the Indian players have been residing in the Hyatt Regency in Ahmedabad for over a month in a bio-secure bubble built by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the staff of the reputed hotel has tried their best to make the cricketers feel home by giving a personalized touch to their hotel rooms.

A picture of the outside of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s hotel room has gone viral on social media where the sweet nameplate placed on the door of the room managed to win the hearts of many people on social media. The nameplate sports the name of Virat’s two-month-old daughter Vamika Kohli followed by the cricketers’ wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and the skipper himself.

Players get personalized pillows and keys from the hotel

Apart from the names of the three members of the cute family, the nameplate has a tagline, ‘home sweet home.’ Notably, both Anushka and Virat had welcomed a sweet little angel into their life on January 11, 2021. Virat especially took a break from the Test series against Australia to witness the birth of his daughter.

It is learned that the room allotted to all-rounder Hardik Pandya also sports a similar nameplate with the names of wife Natasa and son Agastya written on it. Further reports suggest that some personalized cushions have also been placed in the rooms allotted to the Indian players while the keys of the rooms have been designed in a specific manner too.

After the conclusion of the ongoing five-match T20I series, India and England will travel to Pune to participate in three One Day Internationals, scheduled on March 23, March 26, and March 28 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
