Not many know this, but Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh worked as a child artist in the Punjabi film ‘Mehndi Shagna Di’ back in 1992. Son of former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh, the dashing southpaw from Punjab made huge inroads into the Indian side at a very young age and with his scintillating renditions, he attained massive stardom at a young age.

With popularity comes ad contracts in the cricketing world, especially in India. It was no different in Yuvraj’s case as he went on to bag a lot of contracts and was one of the hottest prospects in the country. His love for acting was clearly palpable through these ads and time and again he has proven he can be decent in front of the camera.

Yuvraj to feature in “Inside Edge 2”?

If the reports in Free Press Journal are to be believed, Yuvraj is set to make his acting debut in a web series named “Inside Edge”. Inside Edge is a fictional TV series based on a cricket team and it premiered on Amazon Prime last year. The show is all set to air its second season and Yuvraj will be seen playing himself in the show.

The show includes some big names from the show business like Vivek Oberoi, Angad Bedi, Tanul Virwani and Richa Chadha. Angad Bedi, who is a very good friend of Yuvraj, apparently played a crucial role in convincing the 36-year-old to sign up for this web series. Actor Farhan Akhtar, son of the legendary lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar, is one of the co-producers of the show. This is also the first Indian original web series aired on Amazon Prime.

“The makers were toying with the idea of roping in a cricketer for their next season, as it would lend more authenticity to it. Yuvraj’s name cropped up several times,” said a source according to the Free Press Journal. A lot of other cricketers are also on the verge of signing up for this show but their names will only come out once they sign a contract.
