Apart from belting the bowlers around the park, New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham is known for his smart and witty replies on Twitter. Be it taking a sly dig on English fans, when the England football team failed to win the Euro 2020, or be it mocking Glenn Maxwell, Neesham sure knows how to give savage answers, which the fans most often than not love it.
The Kiwi was back at it yet another time as one of the fans on Twitter asked him to give a verdict on Pakistan batter Fawad Alam after he yet again bailed his team from a precarious position and scored a patient 56 against West Indies on day one of the first Test match in Kingston.
It was the southpaw’s innings that helped the Men in Green to post 217 in their fixture of ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. Barring Alam, none of the Pakistani batters could get going. Seeing Alam waging a lone battle against the West Indian pace attack a fan named Saad Umar asked his views to Neesham and wrote: “Your thoughts on Fawad Alam? The man is a fighter, isn’t he?”
The Kiwi all-rounder in return gave an epic replay and said: “I thought he was a cricketer.” This savage reply from Neesham has got over 2500 likes on Twitter and a few of them have also retweeted his reply.

Jimmy Neesham not part of the Pakistan series
Earlier this week, it was revealed that the top eight New Zealand players won’t be part of the Pakistan series owing to the second half of the Indian Premier League (IPL) set to resume on September 19 in the UAE. The Blackcaps are set to travel to Pakistan for a limited-overs series after 18 years. But due to 31 IPL games remaining, players like Kane Williamson, Kyle Jamieson, Mitchell Santner, Jimmy Neesham, and Trent Boult will play IPL for respective teams.
Neesham will turn out for Mumbai Indians in the UAE leg of IPL. The all-rounder will look to contribute to the batting and bowling departments for the franchise. Neesham will have Boult for the company in the Mumbai Indians line up.
