Colin Munro (New Zealand)
Colin Munro made his debut for New Zealand in 2013, however, he came to limelight in 2016 when he hit the second fastest T20 half-century (off 14 balls) against Sri Lanka in Auckland. Since then he never looked back and has been a regular feature in Kiwi’s coloured outfit. The 31-year-old’s naturally aggressive instinct and ability to take the game away from the opposition in a jiffy made him a tempting option for the selectors in the limited over cricket.
The Durban born New-Zealander has the second most number of centuries (three) in the T20I format and also became the top-ranked T20 batsman after hitting his third century against Windies in January 2018. Currently, the tall southpaw is an important member of Kiwi’s limited overs set-up and is enjoying a purple patch providing New-Zealand with fiery starts. Considering the form he is in and his power hitting exploits, Munro can be considered a contender to hit a double century in the shortest format of international cricket.
