'Tickets for first four days of Day-Night Test have been sold out' - Sourav Ganguly

The stage is set for the first-ever Day-Night Test that is scheduled to begin on 22nd of November at the Eden Gardens. Sourav Ganguly, the newly elected President of BCCI has not left any stone unturned in the preparations for the historic game. And, when there are just two days left in the commencement of the pink ball game, the former Indian cricketer has revealed something that will delight the players of both the sides i-e- India and Bangladesh.

The hosts outplayed the Tigers in the first game of the Test series and defeated them by a margin of an inning and 130 runs. It was a one-sided affair in Indore where Virat Kohli and Co. won the game on Day-3 of the 1st Test match. And, now they are preparing for the final and landmark game in Kolkata.

Sourav Ganguly reacts ahead of Day-Night Test

Sourav Ganguly was asked about the sales of the tickets ahead of the pink ball game. In reply to it, he said that the players will get a jam-packed ground filled with spectators. He also recited that all the passes for the first four days of the game have been sold out and it is a big success for the game organizing authorities.

“It’s sold out and I’m extremely happy (about it),” the former Indian cricketer said as quoted by India Today.

There are reports that army paratroopers will hand over the ball to the skipper of both the teams in order to commence with the game. Also, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee will ring the customary Eden Gardens Bell in order to inaugurate the landmark game.

The match will also be attended by a long list of Indian sportspersons, who have represented the country at the international circuit in past. During a 20 minute break in the match, quite a few former captains could be spotted on the carts alongside boundary taking rounds, followed by the next break in which Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has organized a talk show in which the Indian ‘Fabulous Five’ i-e- Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, and Anil Kumble will talk about their epic Test win over Australia in 2001.
