Tom Moody picks the best two T20 opening batsmen in the world

On Saturday, Tom Moody decided to conduct a special Question and Answers session with all his fans on Twitter. During the Q&A session, many fans asked him several questions. One of the fans asked about who he thinks is the best opener in the world in the T20 format.

“Hi, Tom. Who according to you are the two best opening batsmen in the world in T20s? #AskTom”, the fan tweeted.

Moody said it was a tough call but he would choose Rohit Sharma and David Warner. In response to the tweet by the fan, Moody wrote, “Tough call, but I would be more than happy with @davidwarner31 and @ImRo45”.

Tom Moody was the coach of SRH when they lifted IPL trophy in 2016

Rohit Sharma and David Warner, both have been quite successful with the bat at the top of the order. In the all-time leading runs run-scorers in IPL, Warner is at the fourth position while Rohit is at the third position. Rohit has scored 4898 runs in the IPL history while Warner has scored 4706 runs. Both also have prolific records in the T20Is. Warner has 2207 runs in T20Is for Australia while Rohit has 2773 runs in T20Is for India.

Tom Moody has been involved with most coaching and sometimes commentary since his retirement from cricket. Moody was the coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad until last season. He was replaced by fellow Aussie and a World Cup-winning coach, Trevor Bayliss.

Moody was the coach of Sunrisers when the franchise lifted their IPL trophy in 2016. Moody has also coached Kings XI Punjab during the initial few years of the Indian Premier League. Moody, has built his reputation as a good coach. He is one of the few coaches who goes around coaching team in T20 Leagues around the world.
