Tom Moores’ heroics behind the wickets impressed Manchester United’s star player

The County Championship season has commenced as the cricketers from England have started plying their trade in the tournament. There are a few places up for grabs in the national side as well which is coming off series defeats in Australia and New Zealand. Tom Moores, the wicket-keeper of Nottinghamshire, has grabbed the eyeballs with his extraordinary skills behind the wickets. Moreover, he has impressed the goalkeeper of Manchester United David de Gea after taking a couple of catches with a huge leap towards his right hand.
Tom Moores, the 21-year-old cricketer, is the son of the former England coach Peter Moores. he signed the two-year contract with Nottinghamshire last year in October after the experienced Chris Read decided to hang his boots. The youngster is trying his best in the ongoing season and has done well as far as his acrobatics behind the stumps are concerned.
During the game against Yorkshire, Tom Moores was flying while wicket-keeping as he took a couple of unbelievable catches to send the batsman packing. He was totally in the air while attempting to grab the ball and interestingly he was successful on both the occasions. The official Twitter handle of County Championship posted the video of the same on Twitter which left the cricket fans in awe as well. However, more than anything else, those leaps from Tom impressed the star Football player David de Gea who is also a goal-keeper.
He applauded his efforts behind the wickets while responding to the tweet of County Championship. Needless to say that Tom was delighted and was quick to ask him to give some training of goal-keeping with a few sessions in the near future. This comes as a huge compliment for the cricketer who has just started his career at the domestic level and will be inspired now after impressing one of the star players in the different sport.
