AB De Villiers has now become a synonym to Absolutely Brilliant De Villiers for the way he plays the game. Today in the ODI against West Indies the world astonishingly saw his brand of cricket again, that of attacking the cricket ball irrespective of its merit. He was absolutely unstoppable in this innings which saw him play some breath-taking shots and displace the ball in all nooks and corners of the stadium. He started off with similar intentions and only took 16 balls to reach his fifty also amending the record for the fastest ODI half-century and by the time he played the 31st ball he also reached triple figures making it the fastest ODI hundred. AB’s 31 balls spanned as 4 2 1 1 4 6 4 6 6 0 2 2 1lb 1 6 6 6 4 6 1 4 1 1 0 4 4 0 6 4 6 6. AB de Villiers take a bow is all I can sum up saying. Quite literally the best ODI innings that one would get to see.
