Indian Premier League (IPL) brings the finest talents all around the globe under a single roof. The popularity and viewership of the tournament has always seen a positive hike in the graph. The BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council) has announced that the viewership increased by 28% in this season and given the fact there was no cricket for a long time, it wasn’t surprising.

The IPL is very renowned for the pay scale too when compared with other leagues around the world. We have seen in auctions, teams fighting to own best international and Indian players and most interestingly, have seen franchises looking mostly for the uncapped Indian domestic players to add the necessary balance to the team.

Even though we know that the players like MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are earning a huge amount every season, we also have some unsung players (uncapped players) who have turned around their fortunes by representing these franchises.

Let us have look at the list of top 10 uncapped players who have earned the most from IPL (Amount considered is in INR):

10. Rahul Tewatia – 9.45 crore

The classic leg-spinner from Haryana Rahul Tewatia was one of the most valuable players of the latest edition. His performance with both bat and bowl was equally matching to that of any world-class players. The season saw him have 10 wickets and score 255 runs at an average of 42.

His match-winning performance against KXIP was a moment of brilliance which no one will ever forget. A world-class bowler of Sheldon Cottrell’s calibre getting hit for 5 sixes in an over was a rare scene to witness.

Tewatia is a great fielder as well which adds to his value. Even though he has been in auction and been traded to teams such as KXIP and DC, it will be a nice moment to look at when he comes under the hammer, the next time.
