Top 10 Wicket keepers with most runs in ODIs: One Day International (ODI) cricket is a sport followed by millions of fans worldwide. The game of cricket has produced some legends in this format. Wicket keepers deserve special mention as many a time they are the most underappreciated members of the team. To any team, a good keeper is as important as the strike bowler or star batsman. He scored 3309 runs in 143 matches in ODIs for Zimbabwe at an average of 30.35. In May 2004 Tatenda Taibu became the youngest captain in Test history when he captained the Zimbabwe team against Sri Lanka. Mushfiqur Rahim (Bangladesh) – 3525 Runs: Mushfiqur Rahim. He has scored 3525 runs in 147 matches that he has played so far. He averages just above 30 and his strike rate is nearly 75 in ODIs. 8. He has scored 3691 runs in ODIs in the years between 1992 to 2004. His average of just 22.36 is the lowest in this list but he had delivered some valuable knocks for Sri Lanka when needed. 7. He scored 4017 runs in just 138 games in the years from 1989 till 2003. He also captained his team during his long career. He scored 4 centuries and 26 fifties and has a career average of over 33. 6. His strike rate of over 90 is what is most impressive. McCullum also averages above 30 in ODIs. His highest score in One Day cricket is 131. 5. Mark Boucher (South Africa) – 4680 Runs: Mark Boucher. His strike rate in ODIs is nearly 85 and has a high score of 147*. Boucher was an almost guaranteed starter for his team during his playing days. He retired in 2012 after a serious eye injury. 4. He made his ODI debut in the 1992 CWC against Sri Lanka. He scored 5845 runs in 186 games at a strike rate of nearly 74. Interestingly Flower’s last ODI appearance was also against Sri Lanka. 3. Dhoni has scored 9 centuries and 60 fifties and has a career strike rate of 89.27. He has been out for a duck only eight times in his career which is again the lowest in this list. 2. He has an average of 35.64 and his strike rate of 96.94 is the highest in this list. He has also scored 16 centuries and 59 fifties in ODIs over the years. 1. He has played 360 matches and has an average of nearly 44. He has also scored 23 centuries and 91 fifties (highest in the list) in his illustrious career.
