ODI cricket has witnessed many great batsmen stamp their class and authority. The 21st century has also witnessed a phenomenal rise of a new version of cricket which is Twenty20 however, One-Day International cricket has managed to remain popular and even seen hugely successful World Cups. Big individual scores have entertained fans to no end in 50-over cricket. 5 fabulous batsmen have most 170 plus more scores in ODIs. Here is a look at these great entertaining knocks. 5. The other marvelous knock was the unbeaten 189 against England at Manchester in 1984. This was off 170 balls and included 21 fours and 5 sixes. Sir Viv remains one of the most admired cricketers the game has ever produced. 4. His knock off 140 balls included 14 fours and 5 maximums. The other incredible knock was the 219 against West Indies in Indore in the same year in December. This was off 149 balls and included 25 fours and 7 sixes. It made him the 2nd batsman to hit a double ton in ODI cricket after compatriot Sachin Tendulkar. 3. Martin Guptill – 2: Martin Guptill. His magnificent unbeaten 237 off 163 balls including 24 fours and 11 sixes was scored against West Indies in the 2015 World Cup quarterfinal. This is the second highest individual score in ODIs. 2. Sachin Tendulkar – 3: Sachin had made an unbeaten 186 against New Zealand off 150 balls. In the same city in 1999, Sachin had made an unbeaten 186 against New Zealand off 150 balls. This featured 20 fours and 3 sixes. He became the first player to score a double-hundred in ODIs with his unbeaten 200 against South Africa in Gwalior in 2010. 1. Against the same opposition, he hammered a brilliant 209 off 158 balls including 12 fours and 16 sixes in Bangalore in 2013. He holds the record for the highest individual score in ODIs with his majestic 264 off 173 balls against Sri Lanka in Kolkata in 2014. It included 33 fours and 9 maximums.
