With 473 runs from 10 innings at an average and a strike rate of 59.12 and 138, Short is leading the batting charts in the ongoing season of BBL at the moment. Often compared to David Warner because of the similarities in their approach, Short can be a real threat when on song and consistency is no big issue for him. Short is a good batsman who gives his team attacking options up front and he would be the perfect player to compliment someone like Rahane.

The 28-year-old set his base price at 2 crores this year and it heavily backfired on him. D’Arcy was left out owing to a disastrous maiden IPL season last year and he was unlucky to miss out on a lucrative contract this time around.
