The 2020-21 Pakistan series at home was a dream series for the right-handed batter. He scored massive amount of runs, which led him to become the ‘Player of the Series’ in those games. He struck an unbelievable 238 off 364 balls and notched up his fourth double century in the longest format of the game.

Williamson’s innings featured 24 boundaries and he took advantage of his good fortune by being dropped three times during his innings. His 369-run partnership with Henry Nicholls was New Zealand’s highest fourth-wicket stand in Test matches. New Zealand scored a massive total of 659 runs thanks to this partnership, and they went on to win the match by an innings and 176 runs.

He had previously struck another century in the first Test match, which helped New Zealand win a tight contest by 101 runs. He hit two straight hundreds in the series, and his gallant knocks propelled him to the top of the ICC Test rankings.
