Watch: When Trent Bridge witnessed the Zaheer Khan show: It was the English summer of 2007, as India took on England in the 2nd Test match at Trent Bridge. England were going smooth, as Vaughan stroked his way to a sublime century, his 17th and the 100th by an England captain. The Indian bowling looked hapless, as Rahul Dravid took the second new ball. 13 runs came off Zaheer’s first over, as India smelled trouble.

Zaheer came back, this time Vaughan tried to guide one to the leg side, but the ball got entangled in his thigh pad and dragged back to dislodge the bail. India were ecstatic while a disappointed Skipper went back for 124. Next in line was Ian Bell, Zaheer came round the wicket and a beauty trapped him in front. He gave no clue to Collingwood, as Karthik grabbed a low catch, India were in for a win as England lost their last recognized batsman.

Earlier he got both Cook, as the ball nipped back in, and then Strauss with a sharp outswinger, as Strauss’s footwork let him down. England looked comfortable at 287-3 but the next 7 wickets were scalped for 68 runs as Zaheer Khan ended with 5-75. The jelly bean incident previously spurred Zaheer, as he turned the table on his head with a match-winning spell. England had set India a target of 73, as Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly guided India to an emphatic win.
