South Africa registered their first win in the Tri Series at the Providence, Guyana with a 47-run win against Australia which gave them a bonus point as well. South Africa, after winning the toss posted 189/9 in 50 overs thanks to a 62-run knock from Farhaan Behardien. Later the Aussies were bowled out for just 142 with major contribution coming in from the opener Aaron Finch who top scored with 72. Here we look at all the stats and records recorded during the game.

1 – For the first time in International Cricket, Farhaan Behardien has received Man of the Match award.

2 – South Africa scored 189/9 in their 50 overs. This is the 2nd time since 2014 a team failed to cross 200 despite playing all 50 overs in an ODI. Zimbabwe scored 181/8 vs Afghanistan in 2015.

2 – Josh Hazlewood’s economy rate in this game. He is the first Australian opening bowler since 2005 to concede at an economy rate of 2 or lesser after bowling all 10 overs. Glenn McGrath gave 18 runs vs Pakistan at Sydney in 2005.

3 – Number of times Australia and South Africa played in West Indies in ODIs. Australia won in previous two instances but South Africa won this time.

3/13 – Kagiso Rabada’s figures in the game are the best figures by a pacer in this series so far. In fact, this is also the first 3-wicket haul by a pacer in this series.

13 – Total number of players got out either bowled or LBW in this game. This is only the fifth instance and first since 2011 where 13 or more players got out bowled or LBW in an ODI game.

22 – Number of consecutive ODIs South Africa played without a left arm pacer. Last time they played a left-arm pacer was Wayne Parnell at MCG in February, 2015 vs India. Between February, 2009 and February, 2015 the most South Africa played without a left arm pacer is 6 ODIs.

26 – Number of overs Australia spinners bowled in the game. Last time Aussie spinners bowled 25+ overs in an ODI was against New Zealand in 1998.

29 – 10th wicket partnership stand for Australia between Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood is the Australia’s highest stand for any wicket in this game.

2011 – Last time when South Africa played 3 specialist spinners in an ODI was in March 2011 vs New Zealand in World Cup Quarter-finals.
