Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, is pretty concerned about his health and he likes to set an example for other cricketers who wish to stay fit. He has a chiseled body and is mindful of his appearance. His scores in the yo-yo test are worth envying and the 29-year-old Delhi-born batsman is arguably among the fittest cricketers in the world if not the entire sports world.

His immense level of physical fitness adds to his flexibility on the cricket pitch and the same is palpable during the time when he weaves his magic both as the leader and batsman. Recently, it has been learned that Kohli has turned into a vegan and the same has helped him improve his game to a significant extent.

He is now feeling stronger than before

Moreover, he doesn’t miss his previous diet by any means. During his earlier days, Virat used to be fond of biriyani, but he has come of ages ever since. His current diet includes vegetables, protein shakes, and soya.

“Kohli started this diet four months ago and is feeling stronger as his digestive power has increased. He isn’t missing meat, eggs or dairy,” a source was quoted as saying in The Times of India (TOI).

“Two years ago, when he was on a normal diet, he had said that he would go vegan if given a choice. He is now feeling stronger than before,” the source added.

Kohli is currently leading the Indian team in their two-match Test series against the Windies. Virat had an incredible outing as his team won the opening encounter at SCA Stadium in Rajkot by an innings and 272 runs, which also happens to be their biggest Test victory (by any innings). With the bat, he scored 139 runs from 230 balls and was his team’s top run scorer.
