The third and final ODI between India and England is currently underway at Leeds in Headingley. Both the teams have fought tooth and nail in their matches and haven’t made things any easy for each other. In the first match at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, Kuldeep Yadav’s guile and trajectory got the better of the English batting lineup. Rohit Sharma helped Virat Kohli and Co track down the target.

The Brits made a strong comeback in the second match at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Joe Root notched his 12th ODI ton to guide the home team to a mammoth score after which the English bowlers nipped out the Indian batsmen without dropping much sweat. Meanwhile, Kohli scored 120 runs in the first two matches but didn’t quite look at his brutal best.

Virat’s modest nature

Apart from his cricketing prowess, Virat is also known for his humble nature. During India’s second match, MS Dhoni couldn’t quite get going and failed to guide the Men in Blue to glory. Even the audience at Lord’s booed him for his rather indifferent knock. However, Virat came out in his support and mentioned that it was unfortunate to see people lashing out at the wicketkeeper-batsman for the knock.

Today, he showed another example of his modest nature. While the team left the hotel, a fan stood outside, waiting for an autograph from the players. However, everyone ignored her including the likes of Dhoni and head coach Ravi Shastri. However, Virat came forward and gave the lady an autograph. BCCI’s official Twitter handle posted the video on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Twitterati were all praises for the Delhi-born cricketer for obliging to the fan for an autograph and they showered praises on the 29-year-old batsman. They also bashed the others for their insensitive behaviour.
