Twitter Reaction: Rameez Raja brutally trolled by cricket fans during Indo-Pak clash

Former Pakistani cricketer Rameez Raja is a popular name among commentators and one of the very few from Pakistan. The 54 year got badly trolled during yesterday’s Champions Trophy final between India and Pakistan at the Kennington Oval. The mega final saw Pakistan lay their hands upon the ICC Champions Trophy for the first time ever as the thrashed a star-studded Indian side comprehensively.

Rameez Raja tends to get emotional while commentating in such matches and especially when Pakistan seems to be on a roll on the field. He has faced a lot of criticism over the years for the same from fans across all social media platforms. Rameez Raja is not the only one but former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar can be considered as Raja’s counterpart and has faced similar roasting sessions for his baseless commentary.

Quite interestingly, we witnessed a similar incident yesterday during the grand finale when the Indian fans made a mockery out of Raja by labelling him as the only ray of hope for India. The fans asked for the microphone to be handed over to Rameez as Pakistani batsmen tend to lose their wickets when the veteran commentator starts praising them.

The fans also named a couple of commentators whom they hate because of their terrible sense of commentary. But fortunately enough, Rameez was the only commentator who got his pre-tournament prediction spot on. Before the start of the mega ICC event, the right-handed batsman predicted that the final will be played between India and Pakistan with the men in green lifting the trophy.

Heroics from Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Amir and Hasan Ali registered a historic win for Pakistan in this edition of the tournament dethroning the defending champions. Here is what the Twitterati had to say about Rameez Raja:
