Twitter Reactions: South Africa bowlers run riot as Aussies blasted out for 85

Vernon Philander was the star of the show for South Africa as the Aussies led by Steve Smith were blasted out by some terrific bowling by the Proteas pacers on the day. Philander concluded the innings with a five-wicket haul as the Aussies were dismissed under a score of hundred for only the third time against a South African opposition.
Twitter exploded with a plethora of tweets with many condemning the terrible and poor shots played by David Warner in particular. Otherwise, it was Vernon Philander who made amends with the ball in the absence of Dale Steyn to take over the mantle of the bowling leadership.
After winning the toss, it was perhaps good riddance on the part of the skipper Faf du Plessis as he decided to get the red cherry up and running with little or no trouble. He handed the ball to swing bowlers Vernon Philander and Kyle Abbott as they began to make the ball do the talking.
Moreover, the pace of Kagiso Rabada was there to supplement the bowlers as the Aussies made a mess of their first innings total. Two Australian players were making their debuts in the form of Joe Mennie and Callum Ferguson. However, their debuts were marred by a bad baptism of fire when they were bowled out quite badly in the first innings.
However, similar to the first Test, it remains to be seen what happens in the second innings if and when there will be a fightback from the Australians in the match.

All out for 85 in challenging but not by any means impossible conditions! #AUSvSA

Worst start to an innings by Australia since Bradman's men were 4-7 in 1936 #AUSvSA

Is this a ploy from Warner to get people to destroy their TV's and thus have to buy new Oled's? #AUSvSA

At this rate, Warner may only have an hour or so to watch cartoons before he has to field. #AUSvSA

You call this a collapse? Australia were 9-21 in Cape Town in 2011. This is nothing. #AUSvSA

There's embarrassing and then there's this performance. #AUSvSA

If you're new to cricket, 85 is a decent score. Not for an entire team of course but an individual. #AUSvSA

Good to see Australia give RSA some time at the crease. Don't have to be too generous though. #ausvsa

Selectors are picking for body type rather than ability or form. #AUSvSA

Best to turn the 'effortless Aussie collapse' into a semi-annual event (one home, one away)
