Gujarat Lions were all pumped up to take on the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. However, a bizarre incident forced them to tinker with their winning combination. Star player Aaron Finch had to miss out of the game due to a reason that will only make the funny bones tickle. The cricket kit of Finch did not arrive on time. And hence, the Lions were forced to make a change in their side.

At the toss, Gujarat Lions skipper Suresh Raina confirmed the same when he disclosed the team combinations for the match. Well, the beneficiary of the entire episode was English batsman Jason Roy. Roy had earlier played a couple of matches for the team. However, he had largely failed with the bat and that saw him miss out from the playing eleven in the previous game for the Lions.

In the match, the Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma win the toss and opted to field first. It was just then when Raina broke out the bizarre news. He noted that the team wants to start well and bat well. He is expecting the players to fire in all cylinders.

He quoted, “We just need to start well. We’ve been chasing well. Last game, we batted well. We’ll look to score and see what happens. The wicket looks pretty dry. It might get slower. Hopefully, we post a good score and defend. We have 2 changes. Finchy misses out, unfortunately, his kit bag didn’t arrive. Jason Roy and Munaf Patel come in for Finch and Jakati.”

The Twitter world went absolutely berserk and could not stop their amusement at the news. They came in flooding with the tweets about Aaron Finch. Here are some of the best Twitter reactions from the bizarre moment from the MIvGL encounter:
