To a horror of millions of Indian supporters and fans, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia as per reports. The speedster missed the first T20I against South Africa in Trivandrum and since then, the discussion about his fitness started to take place. Now, according to initial reports, the 28-year-old is out for at least 4-6 months with a serious back stress fracture injury.

Bumrah also missed the recently concluded Asia Cup where India’s difficulty in the death overs was very much highlighted. His presence in the team change the dynamics as Bumrah along with Harshal Patel was responsible for the death overs. Now with him out of the squad, inexperienced Arshdeep Singh will be brought in but it still needs to be seen whether the management backs experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the final overs or go with a talented rookie.

At the moment, either Deepak Chahar or Mohammed is likely to get into the main squad. Shami who missed the T20 series against the Kangaroos because of Covid-19 is likely to make his return in the second T20I against the Proteas. Deepak Chahar, on the other hand, was fantastic with the ball in the first match as he picked up two wickets giving just 24 runs in his four overs.

Bumrah is not the only player who will miss the global tournament for India in the fall. All rounder Ravindra Jadeja will also miss the tournament following an injury in his knee ligament. BCCI called Axar Patel up in his absence and the left-arm spinner has done well so far in India colours.

Some hilarious content was also seen as he was shown in a hospital bed along with English pacer Jofra Archer.
