'Such a selfish team' - Rishabh Pant's fans slam Indian management for ignoring him after IND vs AUS 3rd T20I

Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batsman for Team India, appeared a little melancholy on Sunday, September 25, as the Men in Blue celebrated a deserved series victory over Australia. The youngster has struggled to firmly establish his place in the T20I lineup recently, despite his amazing performances in Tests and ODIs.

Former India skipper Virat Kohli and all-rounder Hardik Pandya, according to some of Pant's fans and backers, are 'ignoring' him. The talented southpaw has a reputation for being a natural comic who enjoys making jokes with his friends.

His fans and admirers recently posted a video clip in which they claimed that when Pant sought to talk to people like Kohli and Pandya, they neglected him. Rishabh Pant was in the far left of the frame when the entire team stood for a group photo holding the trophy.

Some of his supporters believe it was insulting to an individual who has successfully represented India and won multiple games on their own in other formats. One of them, expressing his feeling for Rishabh Pant, tweeted: “I’ve felt alone in a room full of people”. While there was another fan who felt that Dinesh Karthik should not be prioritized over Pant, as the former might not be seen in the setup for long, as compared to the latter.

Ever since Dinesh Karthik entered into the international setup, the Indian team management has been trying both of them time and again. While there have been instances of Karthik making his place in the combination and Pant missing out, or vice versa, there have also been instances of the two playing together, with Pant keeping the gloves.

Pant is India’s middle-order batter, which is not the case with Karthik, who has been sent into the field depending on the situation of the game as India looks to test him in the finisher’s role. While Karthik has managed to prove what he can do down the order, Pant has been out of form for a while now, in the T20I format. Thus, the debate is not going to end anytime soon.
