'U have gone old' - Wasim Akram trolled over erroneous tweet comparing Naseem Shah's last-over sixes to Javed Miandad's
Akram had compared Naseem Shah's final over sixes with Javen Miandad's winning six from a 1986 game.

Pakistani bowler Naseem Shah has been the talk of the town since Wednesday evening, ever since he hit the winning runs for Pakistan and took the team into the finals of the Asia Cup 2022. In the game against Afghanistan, Pakistan required 11 runs off the final over with just one wicket in hand and that is when Naseem hit two consecutive sixes to finish off the chase in style.
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, during the post-match presentation, recalled one such similar incident back in 1986, from the Austral-Asia Cup, when Javed Miandad had helped Pakistan win the game against India at Sharjah, by hitting a six to finish the game when the Men in Green needed four to win off the final delivery.
Just like Babar, even former Pakistan veteran Wasim Akram was reminded of the exact incident, where he was with the team as he witnessed Pakistan’s epic victory. The former pacer took to his Twitter to congratulate Naseem Shah for his efforts while also mentioning how he was reminded of Miandad’s six. But Akram made a mistake and instead got trolled by the netizens.
Miandad had struck the six 36 years ago, in 1986, and Akram, in his tweet, wrote the figures incorrectly as he tweeted: “What a game… even I can’t take such a sensational finish at this age! Boy, what great sixes by young Naseem Shah… I was part of the team when Javed Miandad hit that last ball six… 26 years later today I witnessed two last over sixes… sensational stuff.”

The legendary pacer was then corrected by his followers and the cricket fans as they commented on his tweet saying it was 36 years ago and not 26. On the other hand, it might be possible that Akram made a typing error out of excitement because the match was a rollercoaster ride for all those who witnessed it.
Naseem Shah pulled off a miracle for Pakistan
Pakistan’s middle-order lineup had come crashing down within minutes as the Afghanistan bowlers picked up six big wickets within just four overs towards the end, and the game came down to the final over. Just when it looked like Afghanistan had turned the game towards their side, Naseem Shah’s sixes turned the tables around, again, and Pakistan sealed their final date with Sri Lanka.
Here's how the Twitter users reacted to his tweet:

Your referenced six by Miandad was against India in 1986. This was 36 years ago, NOT 26 years ago as you stated in your Tweet. Please make the necessary correction
