The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) clinched their first IPL title under the leadership of skipper David Warner. While this is perhaps one of the best days in the lives of all the SRH players and support staff who made it happen, Twitter erupted with Tweets from all across the globe, especially those involving the current and ex-cricketers.

The tweets rather fittingly began from the handle of SRH skipper David Warner. Incidentally, Warner was thanking his countryman and former Aussie teammate Shane Watson for his compliments towards the Sunrisers’ win. Although being vanquished, Watson exhibited terrific sportsmanship with his tweet.

Warner’s SRH teammates then took to twitter to celebrate their much-deserved win. Deepak Hooda, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Moises Henriques too joined in on the action as they celebrated the win. Eoin Morgan, the England limited-overs skipper too joined in with a reply to the Henriques tweet, commending him on his decent showing with both bat and ball. Sunrisers team mentor VVS Laxman also added that it was indeed a wonderful win with coach Tom Moody also expressing his joy.

The former crickets included most of the former players who played under the banner of the now defunct ‘Deccan Charger’. The tweets, this time, came from former Chargers skipper Adam Gilchrist whose tweet congratulated the team as well as the city of Hyderabad for the win. Scott Styris also joined in, congratulating Tom Moody on his wonderful performance at the helm. Yuvraj Sing also reached a fantastic landmark in his illustrious career after becoming the first player to win the IPL, World T20, U19 World Cup and the cricket World Cup in his career.

Last but not the least, the former crickets in the form of former Deccan coach Darren Lehmann, Damien Martyn, and Damien Fleming all expressed their heartiest congratulations to the players. Finally, there was an outpour of tweets directed at one Mr. Ashish Nehra the Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer who is currently recuperating from in London following a successful operation on his dodgy knee.

That said, here are some of the best tweets following the end of what was indeed a truly entertaining IPL final.
