Sunrisers Hyderabad took on the Delhi Daredevils in a thrilling encounter at Raipur. Captain Zaheer Khan won the toss as DD elected to field first. While SRH had Eoin Morgan and Brainder Sran coming in for them, DD brought in Pawan Negi, Jayant Yadav and Carlos Brathwaite.
Batting first, David Warner again began the SRH innings in an emphatic fashion as he smashed a magnificent 73 runs from 56 balls. While he kept scoring runs, wickets kept falling at the other end. The other batsmen got starts but couldn’t accelerate.
Some late charge by Bhuvanesh Kumar and Naman Ojha took the Sunrisers to 158/7 in their quota of 20 overs. Brathwaite was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/27 and also effected a brilliant run out.

On the other hand, DD lost Quinton de Kock early. From there on, both youngsters Karun Nair and Rishab Pant led their batting recovery. SRH were quite sloppy in the field and that probably cost them the game. At the end, it boiled to 6 off 2 balls, but Nair smashed consecutive boundaries to secure a last ball win for the Delhi Daredevils.
DD’s 6-wicket victory has kept them afloat in the tournament and their next game would be a virtual quarter-final. Mustafizur Rahman and Sran were exceptional but the others were a touch expensive. Karun Nair deservingly won the man of the match.
Twitter kept everyone entertained with some splendid tweets throughout the SRH-DD game. Right from lauding Warner to trolling DD changes, right from lauding Nair to trolling SRH fielding, here are some of the Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game
Brilliant by Karun Nayar. Fine strokes & strong nerves produce among best knocks this year. Suspense about which teams in play-offs grows!

Thank you Warner for letting that go through and dropping Karun earlier. You have shown your loyalty for being an ex-Daredevil.

May be exaggerating, but only Mustafizur comes close to Wasim Akram in this generation. Such a treat to watch him bowl ! ? #SRH

This is ideally Nair's territory. No other franchise would have given him so many chances at such a good position. Pay back, FFS.

Only reason Negi is playing so that Delhi Daredevils are answerable to the income tax department.
