Kings XI Punjab took on the Mumbai Indians in a one-sided encounter at Vizag. Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss as MI elected to bat first. While Punjab had Glenn Maxwell and Gurkeerat Singh Mann coming in, Mumbai brought in Unmukt Chand for Parthiv Patel.

MI failed to start well again as both Chand and Ambati Rayudu got out on ducks. Rohit tried to settle in but was outdone by Axar Patel. MI were reduced to 61/5 at one stage. Some hard hitting by Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya made them look back in the game.

However, twin strikes by Marcus Stoinis turned the tables in favour of KXIP as MI could only manage 124/9 in their quota of 20 overs which was in no way a good enough total. Stoinis was the pick of the bowlers with 4/15 while Mohit and Sandeep Sharma also excellent well with 2 wickets apiece.

Punjab lost Hashim Amla early but Vijay along with Wirddhiman Saha build up a brilliant second-wicket partnership as they led Kings XI Punjab to a comfortable chase. While Vijay scored an almost run-a-ball 54 (52)*, Saha was the crusader with 56 (40).

MI, on the other hand, looked clueless as they hardly had anything to defend. Mitchell McClenaghan got 2 consecutive wickets but the damage was already done as Kings XI registered a 7-wicket win leaving them in a jeopardy at the points table. Marcus Stoinis was deservingly named the man of the match.

Twitter kept everyone entertained with some splendid tweets throughout the MI-KXIP game. Right from lauding Pollard to trolling the rest of the MI batting, right from lauding Vijay and Saha to trolling Maxwell, here are some of the Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:
