Pakistan was in a spot of bother after 78 overs having lost 7 wickets with just 190 runs on the board which meant only a slender lead of 135 runs in the second inning. The two men at the crease were pacers Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir while Devendra Bishoo who had already picked three wickets was moving in trying to wrap the Pakistani innings up. Having survived a good appeal on the fourth ball of the over and on the last decided to take the bowler on and hit a big shot towards the long-on region.

He connected it well and believed he had done enough to just watch the ball sail over the fielder and into the boundary ropes and was standing there admiring his shot. But the fielder at long-on West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase decided to give it a shot. He put in a sensational attempt to reach to the ball that was on his right. He took it with one hand but that was when he realized that he would fall over the ropes and so threw the ball in.

Amir all this while was stationary and was rather going to knock gloves with his batting partner as he considered it to go safely over the ropes for a six. Only after Chase got up and threw the ball towards skipper Jason Holder did he get to a point where he thought he should run for it and started to run. It was too late by then and to make matters worse, he even lost his bat. Chase got in a perfect throw right around the stumps and Holder took little time in getting the bails off.

Amir was definitely short of his crease and though sounds hilarious was not for Pakistan. Skipper Holder grabbed a five-wicket haul and West Indies bowled Pakistan out for 208 runs in the second inning, the target for Windies to win the game is 153.
