After a thumping win in the first T20I, team Pakistan registered yet another crushing win over the touring Windies in the second game. The action stayed in Karachi for the second showdown in as many number of days. As the action rolled out, it seemed like a deja vu performance from the hosts. The Pakistani skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed, had no hesitation in batting first after winning the toss.
The home spectators were in for yet another run-fest from their batsmen. Leading from the front was their opener, Babar Azam. A sensational knock from the willow of the young batting mainstay put Pakistan in a commanding position. Azam remained unbeaten on 97 as he anchored the innings with sheer brilliance. The way he built the innings was amazing.
He knew exactly how and when he wanted to accelerate in the innings. Azam was unfortunate to have been stranded on 97 at the end of the stipulated 20 overs. He needed 11 off the last over to reach his maiden T20I ton. He fell short by three knocks. His knock of unbeaten 97 came off just 58 deliveries with 13 fours and a six. His efforts, combined with Hussain Talat’s timely 63 (41) and the cameo of an unbeaten 17 (7) from Shoaib Malik helped Pakistan finish with 205/3 in their 20 overs.
In the run chase, the Windies batting could never really get going. Barring opener Chadwick Walton, no other batsman looked at ease in the innings. Walton scored a decent 40 off 29 deliveries. But it was a little too less with the target being a huge one to overhaul. Shadab Khan came up with a brilliant spell of 2/23 in four overs to dent the run flow of the Windies chase.
The wickets kept tumbling and Windies could never get into the run chase. At one stage, they lost 4 wickets in the space of 7 deliveries. Mohammad Amir ran through the lower middle-order. Eventually, Windies bundled out 123 in 19.2 overs to hand Pakistan a clinical 82 run win the match. Amir finished as the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan with 3/22 to his name. With the win, the hosts now have an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series. The final game of the series will be played tomorrow at the same venue.

Dear Pakistan calling a windies c team is same as calling a country who didn’t played cricket at all. Never seen such a useless series in my life. No wonder why poor cricket countries like Pakistan in top t20 rankings. #PakvWI #PAKvsWI

Windies lost first game by 143 runs.
Made 123 in second game. They still trail Pakistan by 20 runs, forget today's 82-run loss.— Nikhil ? (@CricCrazyNIKS) April 2, 2018
