In one of the most one sided encounters you’ll ever see, Pakistan thrashed Ireland by a whopping 255 runs to win the first ODI at Dublin. After a wet outfield delayed a start, Pakistan were asked to bat first by the Irish captain Porterfield.

Sharjeel Khan put up a stunning show with the bat as he smashed a magnanimous 152 runs from just 82 balls. It was the third fastest instance of a batsman reaching 150 with the record held by AB De Villiers. Nawaz  and Malik also raced to quickfire half centuries as they propelled Pakistan’s total to 337/6.

The Ireland bowlers had a tough day on the field. After an early wicket, they were taken for the cleaners, especially by Sharjeel who displayed some top hitting stuff. McCarthy was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets.

On the other hand, the hosts slumped from the beginning and could last only 23.2 overs as the Irish batsmen bundled out for just 82 runs. Pakistani bowlers played merry with Imad Wasim going on to pick his best match figures of 5/14. Umar Gul also made a decent comeback as he got 3 wickets.
