Twitter Reactions: Shikhar Dhawan gets trolled for his poor form

Shikhar Dhawan continued his poor form as he perished for just 6 runs in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s second game of the season against Kolkata Knight Riders. The SRH are keen on putting up a good show this season following their defeat in their opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

But unless Dhawan clicks in the top order, things seem too far from happy for the SRH franchise. On most occasions, the left-hander has lost his wicket early in the innings, leaving his opening partner stranded alone to make all the runs and give a decent start.

Shikhar Dhawan’s run in T20s has been poor since the recently concluded World T20. With just 57 runs in his last 6 T20 innings. He averages just above 9. Dhawan made an unbeaten 73 in the warm-up match against South Africa prior to the World T20. But what followed was a horrendous run for the left-hander in the World Cup.

Scoring 1 against New Zealand and following it up with just 6 against Pakistan, Dhawan had given the Indian team management a prick to think about. He could manage a struggling 23 against Bangladesh and just 13 against Australia. His form was so worrying for the side that he was left out of the semi-final clash against West Indies.

Come IPL and the tables were expected to turn for the southpaw from Delhi. Playing against RCB, while David Warner looked absolutely comfortable at the crease, Dhawan was from being stable at the wicket. He lost his wicket to Parvez Rasool on just 8.

His poor run has seen a string of tweets on the social media Twitter mocking the poor run of the batsman. Well, if things do not get better for him from here, he is sure to be facing a lot more heat from the fans.
