It looked like a cakewalk for the star-studded batting line-up of Melbourne Stars. But astonishing performances given by Sixers bowlers left the hosts struggling throughout their chase. The in-form openers Nic Maddinson and Marcus Stoinis failed to click good knocks with their willow.
Stoinis, who is the leading run-scorer in BBL 2019-20, attempted a mistimed stroke off Ben Dwarshuis and he was caught by Moises Henriques at mid-on. Melbourne Stars are gone. They’ll get thrashed in their next game too. Don’t know what has gotten in to them. They did well with the ball restricting the Sixers, but they bat like they’ve got 11 of me at the moment. #BBL2019 #BBL09
