Twitter Reactions: Team India thump Sri Lanka to register a massive win
Team India won the game by an innings and 239 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Sri Lanka started the day 4 of Nagpur Test match in a desperate situation. They were trailing by more than 380 runs with 9 wickets in hand and there were two full days of cricket still to be played. So while the writing was clearly on the wall, people expected the Sri Lankan batsmen to show some application and make it tough for the Indian bowlers to get those 9 wickets.
But Sri Lanka’s batting performance in the second innings was even worse. It was spineless and what was most disappointing was the shots that some of their senior players played. The likes of Angelo Mathews, Lahiru Thirimanne and Dasun Shanaka just didn’t seem to be prepared to guts it out in the middle.
The skipper Dinesh Chandimal who had scored a fifty in the first innings stuck around for a bit in the second innings too and registered his second half century in the game, but the frustration of running out of partners got to him eventually and he also threw his wicket towards the end playing a wayward Umesh Yadav delivery straight into the hands of the deep fine leg fielder.
Sri Lanka were bundled out for 166 with Ravichandran Ashwin being the pick of the bowlers again with a four-fer, while Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma chipped in with a couple of wickets apiece. Ashwin, in the process, completed his 300 wickets as well in Test matches and became the fastest in the history of the game to reach that landmark.
While the Twitterati praised Ashwin’s feat and congratulated him for that, they were not at all impressed with the lacklustre show of the Sri Lankan team. Some likened Sri Lanka’s performance to Gully Cricket, while the others urged BCCI not to set up a series with Sri Lanka at all in near future considering the level of cricket they are playing. A few Twitterati who missed the game were actually happy that they missed it as they thought it wasn’t worth watching.

Sri Lanka was looking for their first win in India before the tour.
They are now struggling to avoid their worst-ever loss to India.

India are treating Sri Lanka as a warm-up for South Africa.
And, barring one day – Sri Lanka have done little to prove otherwise.#INDvSL— Sorabh Pant (@hankypanty) November 27, 2017

Sri Lanka too much dependent on pitch to offer something. Make a game of your own. You won't be helped everytime like Kolkata.

Indian bowlers should try to get the remaining Lankan batsmen out before 1.30 PM. So that we could have a toss at 1.45PM and start the day-night ODI at 2 PM. @BCCI @imVkohli #IndvsSL
