Twitter Reactions: Warner and Burns dominate NZ on day three of the first Test: David Warner and Joe Burn continued their fantastic batting performances in the second innings also. Both David Warner and Joe Burns whizzed past their respective centuries comfortably and putting Australia in firm command of the first Test match.
Joe Burns was the first to reach the three figure mark today. Burns completed his century in style with an off Mark Craig’s flighted off-break in just 102 balls just before the rains interrupted the play. His innings included 11 boundaries and 3 hits over the fence.
David Warner quickly followed Burns. Warner took 109 balls to score his hundred with the help of 6 boundaries and one six. This is also the 3rd time in his career that he has scored centuries in both the innings of the third match.
Both openers also shared a record double century partnership between them. This twin century partnership between Warner and Burns has occurred for the first time in the history of Australia cricket.
However, both openers have lost their wickets. Davis Warner was dismissed but off-spinner Daniel Craig at the score of 116 while Joe Burns also fell off the bowling of Craig.
Soon after Australia showed some lethargic approach as they quickly lost two wickets in the form of captain Steven Smith (1 runs) and Mitchell March (2 runs).
Last innings centurion Usman Khwaja is still on the crease batting at 9 n.o. while just-in veteran batsman Adam Voges is batting 1 n.o.
As of now, the Australians have displayed complete dominance over the Kiwi bowlers, who are trying hard to bring themselves in the match.
At stumps, Australia led by 503 runs with six wickets in hands.

And the umpires decide that the ball simply isn't pink enough to play in electric light only. So, I think that's stumps. #AUSvNZ

With that lead I guess the Aussies can afford to chuck away a few wickets before the end of the day… ? #AUSvNZ
