Virat Kohli has been in superb form this season for India and has done wonders with the bat. He has turned into a fan favorite with great performances match after match. This man scored four double centuries in as many test series. He has been impeccable with the bat and has also been spot on with his decisions as a captain as well.
In the first Test in Pune Virat was not himself. In the first innings, he was out on a duck when India needed him to stick around. Instead, he fetched a wide delivery bowled by Mitchell Starc and edged it along the way to Peter Handscomb. His lack of patience put India into a spot of bother as they were quickly reduced to 44-3.
In the second innings of the same Test, Virat got off to a shaky start and almost recovered from it before a howler. He hit Steve O’Keefe for a beautiful cover drive which earned him four runs and after that misjudged a straight one. The star batsman left alone a straight delivery which crashed into his off stump. It was one of the rare misjudgement from the man in form. India lost that Test match by 333 runs.
Fast forward to the ongoing second Test. Indian openers again failed to get off to a good start. A forced change in the opening pair saw Abhinav Mukund get his chance. The comeback of Mukund was short-lived as he was sent packing for a duck by Starc. Pujara and Rahul stitched a 61 run partnership before Pujara was scuffed out by Nathon Lyon. In came Virat to a roar of the crowd. He elegantly smashed Starc with a cover drive and followed up with an even better one off Lyon before committing another howler.

Virat looked solid for his 12 runs but left alone deliver that spun a bit but did not bounce. It was crashing into the middle and leg stump if it wasn’t for Virat’s pad. He was caught plumb in front and was given out without any hesitation by umpire Nigel Long. The Indian skipper decided to review it and it was indeed unsuccessful. Nathon Lyon got Virat Kohli and it was the fifth time he had done so. This left India in a spot of bother as they struggle at 88 for 3 on a good batting wicket.
Twitter reacted to the dismissal and some of them were really hilarious while some fans were utterly disappointed with the skipper. Let’s have a look at some of the top tweets.

Kohli is just giving other batsman some responsibility. Didn't you see he literally left the ball last 2 times and purposely got out? #sorry
