Twitter Reactions: New Zealand players go crazy as MS Dhoni drives a Hummer in his hometown

A dominant Indian team gained the upper hand in the series after winning the third ODI at Mohali on the back of a thumping ton by run machine Virat Kohli, who was ably supported by MS Dhoni having promoted himself to No.4. The duo, on the back of an all-round bowling performance, helped India gun down 286 comprehensively.

Now, in high spirits, the team heads to Ranchi, better known as the home of MS Dhoni, for the 4th ODI starting tomorrow. Dhoni certainly relishes every opportunity to play in his hometown and was seeing in a relaxed state sporting his luxury car Hummer at the busy streets of the town. The New Zealand player’s reactions were worth capturing as they looked on from their team bus, as MS roamed around freely in his den.

Twitter went gaga after seeing the Indian Captain driving his Hummer and many fans took to the social media platform to comment on this incident. India’s performance, as well as Dhoni’s personal efforts would have pleased him immensely, as he looked as composed and luxuriated as ever.

Dhoni recently became the 5th Indian to reach the 9000 run mark in ODIs, and the 3rd fastest to get there, in terms of balls faced. He also became the second most successful captain in ODIs ever, and hit the most sixes as captain. He also broke a number of other records during this productive home series. Dhoni would be looking forward to stretch the Indian domination on this torrid trip from New Zealand, where they have managed to overcome the hosts just once in 6 games, to his hometown, where he hasn’t scored an international 50 yet.

The 4th ODI presents him the perfect opportunity to do so, with New Zealand dilapidated and bruised, and a team India in fine form on the prowl. Clinching the series at Ranchi will be fitting for Dhoni, who has been in great scrutiny recently both for his batting performances and captaincy.
