After a 1-2 loss in the Test series against hosts South Africa, India has done well to turn around their fortunes as they registered their second consecutive win in the ongoing ODI leg. The Indian team registered a comprehensive 9-wicket victory earlier today in Centurion, winning the 2nd of the six-match series in style.
Albeit the scintillating victory, concern remains over Rohit Sharma’s poor form in overseas conditions. Away from home, on difficult batting conditions, Rohit Sharma, doesn’t have a good record. And he could manage scores of only 20 and 10 and the 1st and 2nd ODI respectively.
And following his horror show, now discarded IPL franchise Rising Pune Supergiant co-owner Harsh Goenka took a dig at the 30-year-old batsman. Harsh, who is also the brother of business magnate and sports enthusiast, Sanjeev Goenka took to Twitter and wrote, “Mahatma Gandhi developed his philosophy in South Africa but all his action was in India. Rohit Sharma, the same. #INDvsSA”

However, the jibe did not go down well with the Rohit fans. Soon enough an irked Twitterati bombarded Goenka’s post, criticizing him for discriminating the star batsman.

The problem with you is that you start barking early. Wait for the series to end and I'm sure that you'll regret your words and will have to congratulate him.

Match Details
After that pulsating contest in the first ODI where India staged a fantastic chase, the second ODI was a walk in the park. Once again, the damage was done by the wrist spinners – Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. They combined for 8 wickets in the match to hurt Proteas’ top order and then clean up the middle order.
South Africa was dismissed for just 118 runs, courtesy a fifer from Chahal. India came back quickly to chase the total and had all but done so with Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan before a bizarre decision to call for Lunch had everyone shocked.
With two runs to get, players returned after 40 minutes and nine balls after the break, India cruised to victory.
