Sanju Samson has been doing the rounds in the Indian cricketing circuit for a significant amount of time. However, the Kerala batsman has been going through a bit of travails. He forayed into the scene as a youngster, playing for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). After a few games, he was being deemed as the next big thing in cricket in the Asian country.

But he couldn’t quite replicate the same touch in the domestic games and hence, couldn’t break into the Indian eleven. Samson made his debut way back in 2015 against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club. Earlier this year, the Young Turk got a sparkling double century in the 2019-20 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Thereafter, he got a lot of praises from the cricketing fraternity.

The stupendous show earned him a place in the national squad for the three-match T20I series versus Bangladesh. Along with Rishabh Pant, the Men in Blue went with Samson as well as a keeping option. Pant hasn’t quite been able to show his true class in the T20I format and therefore, many people reckoned that Samson could go on and get a chance against the mighty Tigers.

But unfortunately, that wasn’t the case as Samson was left out on all three instances. Going into the third and final T20I at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, India only made a solitary change. The side, led by Rohit Sharma, dropped Krunal Pandya and roped in Manish Pandey. The track in Nagpur is tough for batting and hence, India decided to strengthen their batting.

It invariably means that Shivam Dube, who is in the team more for his batting, may have to roll his arms over for four overs. As far as the encounter is concerned, Bangladesh won the toss and had no hesitation to field first. During the toss, even Rohit said that the hosts would have preferred to bowl as well. In the meantime, the netizens are definitely not happy with India leaving out Samson.
