Twitterati floored as MS Dhoni becomes Santa Claus

The vociferous crowd roared as MS Dhoni finished the game at Wankhede in the third and final T20I to complete a clean sweep over Sri Lanka on Sunday. There was a festive mood throughout the Indian camp as they posed for a picture with the trophy donning the Santa caps ahead of the Christmas Eve on Monday. After the photograph, though MS Dhoni was wearing the mask of Santa Claus as well sending his fans into a frenzy. However, Twitterati was absolutely floored with his look and they loved their Mahi as Santa.

Earlier in the day, India restricted Sri Lanka to only 135 in 20 overs after winning the toss courtesy some excellent bowling from Jaydev Unadkat and the spinners. In reply, the home side stuttered a little bit as the pitch offered something to the bowlers despite heavy dew late in the evening. But the score was too small to challenge the strong lineup of the hosts as Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik finished the game in the final over eventually with ease. Dhoni finishing the game also brought back the memories of 2011 World Cup final though it was a huge six unlike in this game when he hit a boundary towards deep square leg.

The players of both the teams looked chill as the festive mood was set in the Stadium. The matches were also played in good spirit as Dhoni was also seen chatting with some of the Lankan players giving them some tips about the batting. Meanwhile, after the presentation ceremony, the Men in Blue were seen having some fun on the ground itself much to the joy of crowd which stayed back to have a glimpse of their star players. Dhoni was seen wearing the mask of Santa Claus and his fans were overawed with his few expressions.

They expressed their love for their favourite Santa on Twitter and termed him as ‘Coolest and cutest Santa ever’. While few accepted him as their Santa forever, some thanked him for the tons of happiness he has given to the fans over the last 15 years. Surely, MS Dhoni is an absolute legend and even his single run is like a gold dust for Indian fans. But watching him in the look of Santa was surely a fun moment and one of the best of the series as well.
