ICC World Cup is all set to get underway next year in England as the 10 teams are gearing up for the ultimate glory. The conditions in the country have left the experts divided on who will lift the title. Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousuf recently tipped the Men in Green to win the World Cup after 26 long years considering their recent performances. However, Twitter has trolled him hilariously for his opinion as they have termed Pakistan as the most unpredictable team.

Yousuf was all praise of the bowling attack of Pakistan as he felt that they have the quality to stem the run-flow on the flat decks in England. Moreover, he also went on to say that winning the Champions Trophy last year will work in favour of the Sarfraz Ahmed‘s men during the mega event next year.

“I think Pakistan are the favourites. I say that because I feel they have the best bowling attack, particularly on flat tracks. When I say best, I mean they have the best-balanced attack. An attack which can take wickets regularly and not let the opposition settle,” he had said.

No Zimbabwe in the World Cup

Twitterati was quick to pounce on Mohammad Yousuf for his comments as they reminded him that Zimbabwe will not be playing the World Cup. Pakistan, during their recent tour, were ruthless against the depleted Men in Red and whitewashed them in the five-match ODI series.

It was a run-fest for them as their talented opener Fakhar Zaman smashed a double century in one of the games. Many also criticised the point of playing the series as there was no fight from the opposition at any point in any of the matches. However, prior to this series they toured New Zealand in January and were whitewashed by the home side in the five-match series.

Many of the Twitter users reminded Yousuf of Pakistan’s humbling loss against New Zealand and cleared that they are not at all close to winning the World Cup in England while some of them also termed that they were lucky to win the Champions Trophy.
