Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have always come under the radar for their poor bowling in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The skipper Virat Kohli had tipped their attack as the best ever ahead of the tournament and the fans had started to believe that they can win the coveted title this year. But somehow the best bowlers fail to perform after coming into the team. The same has been happening this season and it was again on display against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as they kept on bowling in the hitting arc of the batsman.

After posting a gigantic mountain of 205 runs in the first innings courtesy a blitzkrieg from Ab de Villiers, very few had felt that CSK will chase it down given the way ball was turning. Moreover, the pitch had started to do its tricks in the second innings and was assisting the spinners big time. Yuzvendra Chahal spun the web around the batsmen with some clever bowling and it seemed that finally its the day for their bowlers. But MS Dhoni knew their weakness and he kept his cool and took the game deep.

Bowlers found wanting again

It was the territory of Dhoni now as Virat Kohli suddenly found that he doesn’t have quality death bowlers. He had to rely on the likes of Mohammed Siraj and Corey Anderson in front of the beast MS Dhoni who was just waiting for the bowlers to miss the length. It all came down to the mind games and no doubt the bowlers were under pressure and the helpless skipper had to go back to them despite not having confidence at all.

Needless to say that they messed it up and what can one expect with the best finisher in the World batting? They kept on bowling length balls with no variations and CSK batters feasted on it and especially Dhoni who was on a roll and smacked a winning six off a length ball again. Surely, RCB fans loved Dhoni’s knock but they were left frustrated as usual with the bowling of their favourite team.

Twitterati was quick to troll the bowlers of RCB and didn’t waste any time in expressing themselves. This is not the first time that the batting heroics from one of the best players in world De Villiers have gone in vain for them and surely this is not happening for the last time as well.

Here’s how Twitterati trolled RCB after the loss:
