The Royal Challengers Bangalore haven’t had a great start to the Indian Premier League. While experts believed that this was the best RCB side in ten years, the team failed to live up to its expectations. RCB does not have anything to show apart from an ABD masterclass. They face the Chennai Super Kings in their next encounter who are sitting pretty in the top half of the table.
Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the marquee bowlers for RCB. His ability to toss the ball up without any fear even during the first six overs has yielded him big wickets and makes him one of the top bowlers of India. Ahead of RCB’s next game against CSK, Chahal woke up to news websites talking about his engagement and marriage to actress Tanishka Kapoor, who’s acted in the Kannada film First Rank Raju.
Used to such things
The cricketer’s personal life has become the talk of the town as he is bombarded with questions about his wedding. However, the leg-spinner discarded such news and revealed that marriage is not on the cards anytime soon. “I’m fully engaged to cricket only. Cricket is my only love right now.
This news is just a rumour. Tanishka and I are just good friends and there’s no way I’m getting married right now, I’m only 27! My main focus right now is the IPL, then the series against England and later, the upcoming World cup. I don’t think I have the time for anything else,” Chahal was quoted as saying by deccanchronicle.com.
The spinner had also informed his family that they must get used to such things. Chahal claims that he and Tanishka are just good friends and he is used to such things being written about him. “It’s funny how people have so much time to interfere in others’ lives. I’m used to all these things!” he added.
Chahal is also optimistic about RCB’s performance going ahead in the IPL. The win against the Delhi Daredevils has instilled the must needed confidence in the players and the team is taking one game at a time. He believes that there will be pressure just because RCB is playing CSK even though the yellow army is in the top half of the table.
